Leicester Museum & Art Gallery
Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Explorer experience
Leicester Museum & Art Gallery is a wonderful place to visit in the city of Leicester, England. It opened its doors in 1849 and was one of the first public museums in the whole United Kingdom! You can find it on New Walk, close to the city centre.
The museum has many exciting things to see! There are models of ancient dinosaurs, a special area about Egyptian history, and beautiful minerals from Leicestershire. You can also see a very special fossil called Charnia, which was found by a schoolboy named Roger Mason in 1957.
There is also a fun wildspace area with stuffed animals from all over the world, including a big polar bear named Peppy. The museum also has a lovely collection of art from Germany, with works by famous artists like George Grosz, Wassily Kandinsky, and Paul Klee.
The Leicester Museum & Art Gallery is a great place to explore and learn new things!
