Leonardo da Vinci was a very clever person who lived a long time ago in Italy. He loved to draw and paint beautiful pictures. People all over the world know about his amazing art.
Leonardo grew up in a place called Florence. He learned to paint from a great artist named Andrea del Verrocchio. Later, he traveled to many cities like Milan and Rome. He spent his last years in France with a kind king named Francis I.
One of Leonardo’s most famous paintings is the Mona Lisa. It is a picture of a woman that many people think is very beautiful. Another famous painting is The Last Supper, which shows a special moment with a man named Jesus and his friends. Leonardo also drew a clever picture called the Vitruvian Man, which shows how the human body fits into shapes.
Leonardo loved to learn about the world. He filled many notebooks with his ideas and drawings. He thought about how to make machines that could fly and ways to use sunlight for power. Even though he could not build all his ideas, some of them helped people later on.
Today, Leonardo da Vinci is remembered as one of the greatest artists and thinkers. Museums all around the world show his paintings and drawings. His clever ideas continue to inspire new discoveries and inventions.
