Linus Torvalds

Linus Torvalds is a very smart person who loves computers. He was born on 28 December 1969 in Helsinki, Finland. When he was just 11 years old, he started learning how to work with computers.

Linus created something very important called the Linux kernel in 1991. This helps make computers work in a special way. Many people around the world use it every day. He also made a tool called Git that helps people work together on computer programs.

Linus has received many awards for his work, including the 2012 Millennium Technology Prize. He is also known for enjoying scuba diving and even made a program to help others with this fun activity.

Linus is married to Tove, and they have three daughters. He has lived in many places, including Silicon Valley and Portland, Oregon. He became a United States citizen in 2010.
