Photography

Photography is the fun art of taking pictures! It means making images by catching light. You can do this with a camera that uses special film or with digital cameras that save pictures on a computer.

People who take pictures are called photographers. They might use cameras that are big or small, and some even take moving pictures like in movies.

Long ago, people used a box called a camera obscura to see images. Now, most of us take photos with phones or digital cameras. It’s easy and quick!

Photography is used everywhere. Scientists use it to study stars and tiny things. We use it to share memories, show beautiful places, and even tell news stories.

There are many kinds of photography. Some people take pictures of animals in nature, called wildlife photography. Others take pictures of food, buildings, or even themselves!

Whether you are snapping a quick picture with a phone or planning a special photo, photography helps us remember and share the world around us.
