Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a famous composer from Russia. He was born on May 7, 1840, in a small town called Votkinsk. Tchaikovsky grew up loving music and learned to play the piano when he was very young.
Although he first studied to be a civil servant, he later went to the Saint Petersburg Conservatory to learn more about music. There, he learned to mix different musical styles and create his own special sound.
Tchaikovsky is best known for his beautiful ballets, such as Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, and The Nutcracker. He also wrote famous pieces like the 1812 Overture and the Violin Concerto. His music is still loved all around the world today.
Tchaikovsky passed away on November 6, 1893, but his music continues to touch people’s hearts. You can still hear his wonderful melodies in concerts, movies, and even ice-skating shows!
