Regina Five

The Regina Five were a group of five artists who made very special paintings. They used bright colors and new ways to paint, which made people look at art in a new way.

The artists were Kenneth Lochhead, Arthur McKay, Douglas Morton, Ted Godwin, and Ronald Bloore. They all studied art in many places, like Canada, the United States, and Europe.

Their paintings were shown in a big art place called the National Gallery of Canada. This helped everyone see how wonderful their art was. One of the artists, Ronald Bloore, worked at the MacKenzie Art Gallery in Regina, Saskatchewan. He helped bring more art shows to the city, making Regina a special place for art.
