Regina Folk Festival

The Regina Folk Festival was a happy music event held every year in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. It took place in Victoria Park for three nights and two days, usually in August. Many people came to enjoy the music and have fun together.

The festival started in 1969 at the University of Regina. It began as a small event with 35 Canadian groups. Over the years, it grew and moved to Victoria Park in 1985. The festival had many stages, including one just for kids, with crafts and face-painting.

In 2019, the festival celebrated its 50th birthday. But in 2025, the organizers said they could not keep the festival going because of money problems, so the Regina Folk Festival had to stop forever.

Some artists who performed at the festival include Walk Off The Earth, Tanya Tagaq, and Tegan and Sara. The festival was a special time for music lovers in Regina to come together and enjoy beautiful sounds.
