Rouge National Urban Park
Rouge National Urban Park is a big, beautiful park in Ontario, Canada. It is around the Rouge River and its tributaries. The park is in the cities of Toronto, Markham, Pickering, Uxbridge, and Whitchurch-Stouffville.
The park became a national park in 2015. Since then, many new things have been added, like walking paths, places to learn, and fun activities. People can join free events like campfire talks and nature walks. The park covers a big area—about 79 square kilometres or 19,500 acres.
Rouge National Urban Park is full of amazing nature. You can see many animals like white-tailed deer, raccoons, hawks, and ducks. There are also many plants and trees to explore. The park helps protect these animals and plants by keeping their homes safe.
The park has special places where you can walk and learn. There are plans to add more paths and connect them to nearby cities. People can get to the park using public transport like the TTC and GO Transit.
