San Diego Wave FC
San Diego Wave FC is a fun soccer team from San Diego, California. They play in the National Women's Soccer League, called the NWSL. Their home games are at Snapdragon Stadium.
The Wave started in 2021 and joined the league in 2022. In 2023, they won their first big award, the NWSL Shield. The next year, in 2024, they won the NWSL Challenge Cup. These wins made the San Diego Wave FC very exciting for fans!
History
San Diego Wave FC is the first women's professional soccer team in San Diego since 2003. The team was named Wave Fútbol Club and began playing in 2022. In their first season, they finished third in the league. In 2023, they did even better, winning the NWSL Shield.
Colors and Crest
The team's logo shows a big wave in blue, like the Pacific Ocean. The logo also has bright colors that show the beauty of San Diego and its people.
Stadium
The Wave first played at Torero Stadium on the University of San Diego campus. Later, they moved to Snapdragon Stadium at San Diego State University. Many fans loved watching their games there.
