The San Gabriel Valley is a beautiful place in Southern California. It sits right next to the big city of Los Angeles and has many cities and towns. The valley is named after the San Gabriel River, which flows through it. This river was named after an old Spanish mission called Mission San Gabriel Arcángel.
Long ago, the San Gabriel Valley was mostly farms. Today, it is full of cities and towns. It is a very important part of the Los Angeles area. The biggest city here is Pasadena. People from all over the world live here, making it a very mixed and interesting place.
