Welcome to Schleswig-Holstein!

Schleswig-Holstein is a beautiful place in northern Germany. It is the northernmost state and has lots of interesting things to see and do. It is next to Denmark and has four other German states around it. The capital city is Kiel, but there are other important cities too, like Lübeck and Flensburg.

Schleswig-Holstein has a rich history. Long ago, it was part of Denmark. Over time, it became part of Germany. Today, it is a place where Danish, Frisian, and German cultures meet. You can see this in old castles, special foods, and even in family names.

Beautiful Nature

Schleswig-Holstein is known for its lovely coastline. It lies between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. The land has calm lowlands, gentle hills, and many lakes. There are also beautiful islands like Sylt and Föhr. One of the biggest nature parks in Europe is the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park, where you can see many birds and sea animals.
