Seafair is a big, happy event that happens every summer in Seattle, Washington. It started in 1950 and brings together people from all over the city for many fun activities.

One of the most popular parts of Seafair is the Torchlight Parade. People walk and carry lights, making the night very bright and beautiful. There is also a Torchlight Run for those who want to jog.

Another exciting part of Seafair is the Seafair Cup, where fast boats called hydroplanes race on the water. There is also an air show in the sky with flying teams like the US Navy Blue Angels.

All around Seattle and the Seattle metropolitan area, there are many block parties and smaller parades. Seafair is a joyful time for everyone, with lots of fun things to see and do.

The Seafair Pirates are a special group that works hard to bring joy to children in hospitals and help the community. During Seafair, they perform fun and playful acts that many people enjoy.

The Seafair Clowns have been part of Seafair since the 1950s. They started from Seattle University’s Graduates Club and now work to spread happiness by joining events and visiting places like nursing homes and hospitals. They also appear at many festival activities.
