Welcome to Sergipe!

Sergipe is a small and special state in Brazil. It is the smallest state in all of Brazil, but it has many interesting things to see and learn about.

Where is Sergipe?

Sergipe is along the Atlantic coast in northeastern Brazil. It borders Bahia to the south and west and Alagoas to the north. The capital city is Aracaju, which is a fun place to visit with its own aerial tramway.

Nature and Rivers

The land in Sergipe is mostly dry and open, called savanna. Near the coast, you can find a thin strip of tropical rainforest. The São Francisco River runs along the northern border and is one of the longest rivers in the world. This river helps people and plants in the area.

Fun Places to Visit

Sergipe has beautiful beaches with clear water and white sand. In Aracaju, you can walk along Praia de Atalaia and enjoy a lovely boardwalk. Another fun spot is Xingó Canyon, where you can see amazing rock formations and clear water near the São Francisco River.

People and Culture

Many talented people come from Sergipe. For example, Duda is a famous beach volleyball player who won gold at the Olympics. The state also loves football, and many players have become well-known.

Sergipe is a wonderful place with friendly people, beautiful nature, and lots of history to explore!
