The Seven Hills of Rome

The seven hills of Rome are a special part of Rome's story. They are east of the Tiber River and help tell us how the city began. Long ago, twin brothers named Romulus and Remus are said to have started Rome on these hills.

Today, you can still see the shapes of these old hills. They remind us of the city's history and make Rome famous around the world.
