Snowy Owl

The snowy owl is a beautiful, large owl with mostly white feathers. These owls live in cold places called the Arctic, which are found in North America and Eurasia. They love to stay on the wide, flat lands known as tundra.

Snowy owls are special because they are one of the biggest owls and they have white feathers. The males are usually a pure white color, while the females have more brown spots. They can see very well and hunt for food during both the day and night. They like to eat small animals like lemmings, mammals, and water birds.

These owls do not stay in one place. They travel far to find food, sometimes going to places far south of their home. During winter, they visit open areas like farms and even airports.

Snowy owls are also famous because they appear in stories. In the Harry Potter books, a snowy owl named Hedwig is a beloved pet. These owls are loved by many people for their lovely appearance and interesting habits.
