The States of Guernsey is like a team of helpers for the beautiful island of Guernsey. It is made up of people who help make important decisions and rules for everyone who lives there.

Guernsey is a special place that belongs to the United Kingdom but is not part of England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland. The States of Guernsey makes sure everything runs smoothly for the island and sometimes helps nearby islands like Alderney, Sark, and Herm too.

The team meets in a special room to talk and make choices. They have different groups to help with jobs like taking care of schools, keeping the island clean, and making sure everyone stays safe and healthy.

• Gavin St Pier who helps with many different jobs

The team changes every few years when people on the island choose new helpers to join them. This helps make sure everyone’s ideas are heard.
