Swordfish
Swordfish are amazing fish that live in the oceans. They have a long, flat nose that looks like a sword. This is why they are called swordfish! They are found in warm and cool waters around the world, like the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans.
These fish are very big. Most swordfish are about as long as three grown-ups put together, but some can be even longer! They swim very fast and like to stay near the top of the water. Sometimes they jump out of the water, maybe to shake off tiny creatures.
Swordfish are special because they can keep their eyes warm. They have tiny parts near their eyes that make them warmer, so they can see better in cool water. People like to watch and learn about swordfish because they are strong and beautiful.
In many places, people enjoy eating swordfish. The meat is firm and tasty. But we must be careful because it can have something called methylmercury, so some people should not eat too much.
Swordfish have been important to people for a long time. They are loved by many and are a special part of nature in the sea.
