Tai Chi
Tai chi is a beautiful way to move and relax. It started a long time ago in China. People practice it to feel calm and stay healthy. The movements are slow and gentle, like a dance.
People who do tai chi follow special steps called "forms". These forms have smooth, flowing moves. They feel like meditation while moving. Sometimes, people do these moves a little faster for fun.
There are many kinds of tai chi. Five big families helped make the most common styles. These families are Chen, Yang, Wu (Hao), Wu, and Sun. In 2020, tai chi was chosen for a special list of important traditions around the world.
Tai chi helps people feel balanced and relaxed. It is easy on the body, so many older people enjoy it. They find it helps them stay steady and feel good. Tai chi is also a way to learn about moving with ease and peace.
People love tai chi because it lets them move slowly and think calmly. It is practiced all over the world now.
