This historic computer was used by Tim Berners-Lee to create the first web server. It is now displayed in a science museum, showing how the Internet began!

Tim Berners-Lee is a clever man from England who created something very important: the World Wide Web! This helps us connect and share information all around the world.

He was born in London on June 8, 1955. His parents were mathematicians and computer scientists, which means they loved numbers and solving puzzles with computers. As a child, Tim loved trains and enjoyed playing with electronics, even building his own computer from an old television set!

Tim went to school in England and later studied physics at The Queen's College, Oxford. He worked at many important places, including CERN, a big research center. While working there, he had a wonderful idea: to connect information so everyone could find and share it easily. He created important tools like HTML, the URL system, and HTTP to make this happen.

Because of his amazing work, Tim was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2004. He also received the Turing Award in 2016. Today, the World Wide Web helps people all over the world stay connected and learn new things every day!
