Welcome to Togo!
Togo is a small, sunny country in West Africa. It is nestled between three friends: Ghana to the west, Benin to the east, and Burkina Faso to the north. Imagine a place where the sea meets green hills and wide savannahs!
A Land of Many People
Togo is home to about 8 million people. They speak many languages, with French being the official one used in schools and government. But you’ll also hear Ewé in the south and Kabiyé in the north. The country has many ethnic groups, each with its own traditions and stories.
Nature and Wildlife
Togo has beautiful landscapes! From sandy beaches along the coast to rocky hills and grassy plains, there is so much to explore. The land is home to forests, marshes, and even some protected parks where animals live safely. One of the highest points is Mont Agou, which stands tall like a giant green mountain.
Life in Togo
People in Togo enjoy a mix of old traditions and new ways of living. Many families live in villages and work on farms growing crops like coffee, cocoa bean, and peanuts. The capital city, Lomé, is a busy place where people trade goods and visit markets full of colorful fruits, clothes, and crafts.
