What is a Tower?
A tower is a tall structure that stands higher than it is wide. Unlike masts, towers can stand on their own without extra support. They are not meant for people to live in like houses or buildings.
Why Do We Have Towers?
Towers are built to help us see far away or to send messages. For example, a clock tower makes it easy to read the time from a distance. Towers on a castle help people watch for anything happening around them.
Fun Uses of Towers
Towers can be used for many fun things! Some towers are for observation, like looking out over a city. Others are built for fun activities, such as observation decks where people can see amazing views. Towers also help with telecommunication, letting us send messages and talk to people far away.
