Who is Victor Glover?

Victor Glover is an amazing astronaut from the United States. He loves flying and space. Victor was born on April 30, 1976, in Pomona, California. His parents helped him learn about science and engineering when he was young.

Flying in Space

Victor became a pilot and flew special airplanes called F/A-18s. Later, he joined NASA and became an astronaut. In 2020, Victor flew to the International Space Station on a SpaceX spaceship called Crew Dragon. He was the first Black American astronaut to live and work there for a long time.

Traveling Close to the Moon

In April 2026, Victor will fly on a mission called Artemis II. This will make him the first person of color to travel close to the Moon. He will be part of a crew with three other astronauts, flying far from Earth and seeing the Moon up close. What an adventure!
