Who Was Muhammad?
Muhammad was a kind and wise teacher who lived a long time ago. He was born in Mecca, a busy city in the Arabian Peninsula. His family was part of the Banu Hashim clan, a big family group in the Quraysh tribe.
When Muhammad was just a baby, his father passed away. His mother also passed away when he was very young. He was raised by his grandfather and then his uncle, who took good care of him.
Muhammad’s Big Message
When Muhammad was 40 years old, he went to a quiet cave called Hira near Mecca. There, he had a very special dream where he heard important messages. These messages told him that there is only one God and that everyone should follow God’s rules. Muhammad started sharing these messages with people in Mecca.
Some people in Mecca listened and believed him. They followed his teachings and became the first Muslims. Muhammad taught that everyone should be treated kindly and that helping others is very important.
Moving to Medina
Later, Muhammad and his followers moved to a new city called Medina. This move is called the Hijrah. In Medina, Muhammad helped build a strong and friendly community. He created a special place for people to pray and meet, called a mosque.
In Medina, Muhammad showed how to live with peace and respect. He helped people get along, even if they were different. His teachings made many people in Medina happy and safe.
Why Do We Remember Muhammad?
Muhammad’s messages became the Quran, the holy book for Muslims. The Quran teaches people how to live a good life. Muslims around the world follow Muhammad’s example today.
People also remember Muhammad because he brought important ideas about fairness and kindness. He taught that everyone should be treated the same, no matter who they are.
Muhammad passed away in the year 632, but his teachings continue to guide many people. He is loved and respected by millions as a great teacher and leader.
