The New Democrat Coalition is a group of members in the House of Representatives of the United States Congress. It is made up of Democrats, mostly liberals and centrists, who support pro-business ideas.
The group is often seen as being in the middle to center-left of the political world.
When the 119th Congress began, the New Democrat Coalition had many members. Some of these members were also part of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and others were in the Blue Dog Coalition. This made the New Democrat Coalition the largest group of House Democratic ideological caucus.

Leadership
As of the 118th United States Congress, the New Democrat Coalition has leaders who help guide the group. The chair is Brad Schneider from IL-10. There are also vice chairs for areas like outreach, member services, communications, and policy. Other leaders include a whip and additional members who help with organizing and representing the group.
Membership
As of August 11, 2025, the New Democrat Coalition had 116 members. These members include 115 U.S. Representatives and one non-voting delegate. Many were reelected in the 2024 U.S. House of Representatives elections, while others were newly elected with support from the coalition’s political action committee. Several members joined the coalition later in the year.
The coalition includes members from many states across the United States, such as Alabama, Arizona, California, and Colorado, among others. Some members hold special roles within the coalition, like serving as vice chairs for different areas of work.

The NewDem Action Fund, also known as NewDemPAC, supports the group's members in getting elected.
