Armenia at the 2008 Summer Olympics

Armenia took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics held in Beijing, China. The country sent a team of 25 athletes to compete in many different sports. These athletes included wrestlers, weightlifters, boxers, track and field athletes, judokas, a sport shooter, and a swimmer.

Armenia did very well in these games. The team won six bronze medals, which was more than all the medals they had won in every Olympic Games before. This showed how hard the athletes worked and how much they achieved together.

Medalists

Boxing

Armenia had four boxers in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Two of them, Javakhyan and Hambardzumyan, got their spots by doing well at the World Boxing Championships. Another boxer, Hakobyan, earned his place in the middleweight group at a European qualifying tournament.
