Mpade language

Mpadə is an Afro-Asiatic language spoken in northern Cameroon and southwestern Chad. It has several dialects, including Bodo, Biamo, Digam, Mpade (Makari), Shoe (Shewe), and Woulki.
The language is sometimes called Makari, named after one of the towns where people speak it. A place called Ngala, further west, once had a similar dialect, but by the 1920s, most people there had started speaking a different language called Kanuri instead.
Distribution
The Mpade language is spoken in northern Cameroon, close to Lake Chad and mainly around the town of Makari. It is also used in parts of Fotokol, Hilé Alifa, and Goulfey. People speak Mpade in nearby areas of Chad and Nigeria, with about 12,000 speakers in total.
