Roman Repilov

Roman Alexandrovich Repilov (Russian: Роман Александрович Репилов; born 5 March 1996) is a Russian luger. Luge is a winter sport where athletes slide down icy tracks on small sleds at very high speeds. Roman has competed for Russia in important international competitions, showing great skill and speed. He follows East Slavic naming customs, where his full name includes his given name, patronymic, and family name.
Competitive career
Roman Repilov started his luge career representing Russia. In the 2015–16 season, he placed second in a sprint event in Calgary. Later, he set a new start record at Lake Placid. He also won events in Park City, Utah, Winterberg, Germany, and Sigulda, Latvia.
In the 2017–18 season, Repilov won at Lake Placid and took silver and bronze medals with his teammates. He also won silver at Altenberg and bronze at Calgary. The next season, he placed second in Calgary and Lake Placid and won a sprint event. Repilov lives in Dmitrov and has a younger brother, Pavel, who races in youth events.
