Flag of Saint Lucia

Saint Lucia has taken part in every Pan American Games since 1995. The Pan American Games are a big sports event where athletes from all over the Americas come together to compete. In 2003, a track and field athlete named Dominic Johnson brought home Saint Lucia's first medal from the Pan Am Games—a bronze medal in the men's pole vault. So far, all of Saint Lucia's medals from these games have come from track and field.

As of the 2015 games, Saint Lucia was ranked twenty-ninth on the all-time medals list. Levern Spencer, a high jumper, made history for her country by winning Saint Lucia's first ever gold medal at the Pan American Games that same year in 2015. Saint Lucia did not take part in the Pan American Winter Games when they were held just once in 1990.
