Bamako

Bamako is the capital city of Mali, a country in Africa. It is a busy city where many people live and work. About 4 million people call Bamako home.

Bamako sits on the banks of the Niger River. This river is very important because it helps the city with transportation and trade. The river changes direction near Bamako, making the city a special place for travel and business.

The city is the heart of Mali’s government. Important offices and buildings are located here. Bamako is divided into seven parts called communes, each with its own local leaders.

Bamako has many interesting places to visit. You can see the University of Bamako, where students learn and study. The National Museum of Mali shows beautiful art and history from Mali. The city also has a zoo and a big mosque called the Grand Mosque of Bamako.

The city has grown a lot, with new buildings and homes being built. Bamako is a place where people from all over Mali and other countries come to live and work together. It is a lively and important city in West Africa.
