Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Bethlehem is a lovely city in Pennsylvania. It is found in the Lehigh Valley part of the state. Bethlehem is the second biggest city in this area, after Allentown.

The city sits close to the Lehigh River, which flows into the Delaware River. Bethlehem is right between two big cities: Philadelphia and New York City. This makes it easy to visit both places.

What makes Bethlehem special is its love for Christmas. The city was named on Christmas Eve in 1741. In 1747, Bethlehem became the very first place in the United States to put up a Christmas tree! Because of this, Bethlehem is called “Christmas City USA.”

Bethlehem has many fun things to see and do. Every year, it holds happy festivals, like the Bach Choir of Bethlehem and Musikfest, a big free music party. The city also has pretty parks and interesting old buildings. Families love visiting Bethlehem for its warm, festive spirit, especially during the holiday season.
