Canada men's national ice hockey team

The Canada men's national ice hockey team is called Team Canada. They play for Canada in international ice hockey. This team is run by Hockey Canada, which is part of the International Ice Hockey Federation.
People know about Team Canada because they have won many big tournaments. They have won nine Olympic gold medals and 28 World Championship titles. That means they are one of the best hockey teams in the world!
Hockey is a very important sport in Canada. Canadians love the game. The team first played in international hockey competitions in 1910 with a team called the Oxford Canadians from the University of Oxford. In 1963, Father David Bauer created a permanent national team. This team first played in the 1964 Winter Olympics.
Team Canada is very proud of its achievements. They keep working hard and leading in international hockey. The team is part of a group called the "Big Six", which includes the top men’s ice hockey nations: Russia, the United States, Sweden, Finland, and the Czech Republic.
