Capitol Hill

Capitol Hill is a friendly neighborhood in Washington, D.C.. It is located in both the Northeast and Southeast parts of the city. Many people live here in cozy houses, and it is one of the oldest parts of the city.

The big and important United States Capitol sits on the highest point. This is where the U.S. Congress works. The area is also full of history, with many old buildings from the 1800s. About 35,000 people live in Capitol Hill, making it a busy place.

You can find many special places here, like the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court building, and the Marine Barracks. There are also fun shopping areas, such as along Pennsylvania Avenue. One popular spot is Eastern Market, where you can see fresh food and crafts.

Capitol Hill has many green parks, too. Lincoln Park has beautiful statues, and Stanton Park is a nice place to relax. The neighborhood is a wonderful mix of history, nature, and community.
