Eastern Canada
Eastern Canada is a big part of Canada. It has many provinces like Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec, and Ontario. This area is south of the Hudson Bay and Hudson Strait, and east of Manitoba.
Some parts of Eastern Canada are also in other regions. For example, Ontario and Quebec are part of Central Canada. The other provinces, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, are called the Atlantic Canada or the Maritime provinces.
This area is special because it has some of the oldest cities in Canada and many beautiful places like coastlines and forests. Many different cultures and histories come together here.

Ottawa, the capital of Canada, is in Eastern Canada, in Ontario. The capitals of the provinces are:
- Newfoundland and Labrador - St. John's
- Nova Scotia - Halifax
- Prince Edward Island - Charlottetown
- New Brunswick - Fredericton
- Quebec - Quebec City
- Ontario - Toronto
Fun Facts
Eastern Canada is where about 25 million people live. That's around 70% of all the people in Canada. Most live in Ontario and Quebec. This area has three of Canada's biggest cities, and Toronto is one of the biggest cities in North America.
