Grand Falls-Windsor

Grand Falls-Windsor is a friendly town in the central part of Newfoundland in Canada. It is the biggest town in that area and has many places to explore.

The town is known for its yearly Exploits Valley Salmon Festival. This fun event lets people enjoy salmon and outdoor activities together.

Grand Falls-Windsor became a town in 1991 when two smaller towns, Grand Falls and Windsor, joined together to become one community amalgamated. Today, it is one of the two biggest places where people live in Central Newfoundland major population centres.

The town has many schools, including Exploits Valley High, and people can learn at the College of the North Atlantic. There are also places to stay healthy, like Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services.

Grand Falls-Windsor has produced many talented people. Gordon Pinsent is a famous actor, and Don Howse played in the National Hockey League. The town loves its sports teams, too!
