H&M
H&M is a big clothing company from Sweden. It sells clothes, accessories, and home items in thousands of stores all over the world. People know H&M because it makes new styles very quickly.
The company started in 1947 by Erling Persson. His first shop was called Hennes and sold women's clothing. In 1968, he added men's clothing and changed the name to Hennes & Mauritz, which we now call H&M.
H&M has grown very fast. It opened its first store outside Scandinavia in London in 1976 and its first store in the United States in New York City in 2000. In 2008, H&M began selling home furnishings too.
You can find H&M stores in many big cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. The company has also worked with famous designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Stella McCartney to make special collections.
H&M is also trying to help the environment. It has programs to recycle old clothes and uses materials that are better for forests and animals. The company wants to use only recycled materials in all its products by 2030.
