About Lufthansa

Lufthansa is a big airline from Germany. It is Germany’s national airline and helps people fly all around the world. Lufthansa works with many other airlines, like Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Swiss International Air Lines, in a group called Star Alliance. This means travelers can fly to many places easily.

Lufthansa started in 1953. Its main office is in Cologne, and its biggest airport is Frankfurt Airport. Another important airport is Munich Airport. Lufthansa uses many types of airplanes, including big ones like the Airbus A380. These planes fly to cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Bangkok.

Flying with Lufthansa

Lufthansa has special services for its passengers. There is a frequent-flyer program called Miles & More. Members can earn miles when they fly with Lufthansa or its partners. Lufthansa has different types of seats on its planes:

  • First Class: The most special seats, turning into beds with power outlets and entertainment.
  • Business Class: Comfortable seats that also turn into beds, with special services.
  • Premium Economy: More space and a personal entertainment screen.
  • Economy: Regular seats for everyday travelers.

Lufthansa also started a bus service between Nuremberg Airport and Munich Airport in 2021, making travel easier for people moving between these two airports.

Airplane Names

Lufthansa names its airplanes after cities. Some planes are named after German cities like Berlin and Hamburg. Others are named after cities outside of Germany, like Gander and Halifax in Canada, to thank places that helped during difficult times.

Lufthansa makes flying fun and easy for people all over the world.
