Welcome to Moldova!
Moldova is a small, friendly country in Eastern Europe. It is nestled between Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south. Imagine a cozy little patch of land with rolling hills and sunny fields — that’s Moldova!
The capital city is Chișinău, where many people live and work. It’s a busy place with tall buildings, busy streets, and lots of places to explore. Chișinău is the heart of Moldova, full of culture and history.
Long ago, Moldova was part of a place called the Principality of Moldavia. Over time, it joined bigger lands like the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. In 1991, Moldova became its own country. Today, it is working to become closer friends with countries in Europe, hoping to join the European Union one day.
Moldova is special because of its beautiful landscapes and delicious foods. The land is perfect for growing grapes, and Moldova makes some of the tastiest wines in the world! Fields of golden crops and sunny days make Moldova a lovely place to visit.
People in Moldova enjoy many fun traditions. They celebrate holidays like New Year’s and Independence Day with colorful parades and joyful music. Traditional clothes, tasty dishes like plăcinte and mămăligă, and lively songs and dances show the rich culture of Moldova.
Even though Moldova is small, it has a big heart. The people are friendly, and the country is full of interesting places to see. Whether you’re walking through Chișinău, visiting a sunny vineyard, or trying delicious food, Moldova is a wonderful place to discover!
