The Mozilla Foundation is a special group that helps make the Internet better and easier for everyone. It started in July 2003 in Mountain View, California, a fun city in Silicon Valley. This group wants to keep the Internet open and free for all people everywhere.

One big thing the Mozilla Foundation does is help make and share the Mozilla Firefox web browser. This is the program people use to look up things, watch videos, and play games online. The Foundation also works on other tools, like Mozilla Thunderbird, which helps people send and get email.

The Mozilla Foundation follows something called the Mozilla Manifesto. This is a list of ten ideas that guide all of its work. The Foundation believes the Internet should be a place where everyone can join and share.

People all around the world like the work of the Mozilla Foundation because it helps make the Internet safe, easy, and fun for everyone. It is a nonprofit organization, which means it does not try to make a big profit, but instead tries to help people.
