The Nordic Council

The Nordic Council is a group where people from Nordic countries meet to share ideas and help each other. It started in 1952. The countries in the group are Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. It also includes people from the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland.

The Nordic Council meets once a year, usually in October or November. They talk about many things that help the Nordic countries work together better.

The Council has 87 members who come from the parliaments of each country. These members represent different ideas and parties from their countries.

There is also a group called the Nordic Council of Ministers. This group helps the Council do its work. Both groups focus on helping places in Northern Europe, like Schleswig-Holstein in Germany and the Baltic states.

The main office of the Nordic Council is in Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark. The building is easy to find near Ved Stranden Street.

The Nordic Council wants to make it easier for people to travel, work, and learn across the Nordic countries. They also work on projects to protect the environment and help with money for important jobs. This makes the Nordic countries a friendly and helpful place for everyone.
