Welcome to Norwich
Norwich is a lovely city in England. It is in a place called Norfolk and is close to the River Wensum. Norwich is about 100 miles from London. It is the biggest town in a place called East Anglia.
Old and New Norwich
Norwich has a very long history. People have lived there for many years. You can see old buildings like the beautiful Norwich Cathedral and Norwich Castle. These buildings tell stories of the past. The city also has nice modern places to visit, like shops and parks.
A Special City
In 2012, Norwich became very special. It was named a UNESCO City of Literature. This means it is a great place for books and stories. Many people visit Norwich to see its old streets, like Elm Hill, and interesting houses such as Dragon Hall and The Guildhall.
