Pendjari National Park

Pendjari National Park is a wonderful place in Benin, close to Burkina Faso. It is named after the Pendjari River and is famous for its amazing animals.

The park is home to many big animals, such as the African forest elephant, lion, hippopotamus, and African buffalo. You can also see many kinds of antelopes and over 300 different birds.

Pendjari National Park is very big, covering 2,755 square kilometres. It became a special UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017, which means it is very important for nature and animals.

The park has beautiful rocky hills and many types of plants. It is a peaceful home for animals all year round, even though some parts can get rainy from June to November.
