Sacramento County, California

Sacramento County is a special place in California. It is part of the United States. The big city here is Sacramento, which is the state capital of California. This means important decisions for the whole state are made here.

The county covers a large area of about 1,026 square miles. It is in the Central Valley, a flat and fertile place. Rivers like the Sacramento River and San Joaquin River flow through it. You can also find parts of the Sierra Nevada Mountains here.

Sacramento County has many places to live. Big cities include Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, and Rancho Cordova. There are also smaller communities like Arden-Arcade and Carmichael.

People here enjoy many ways to get around. The Sacramento Regional Transit District runs buses and light rail services. There are also big roads like I-5 and I-80 that make traveling easy.

Sacramento International Airport is a major airport in the county. It helps people fly to many places. There are also smaller airports for private planes.

Sacramento County is a lively place with lots of people and many different kinds of neighborhoods. It is important for California because of its big city and many services.
