The Great Mosque of Serang in Banten province, Indonesia, is a beautiful example of Islamic architecture.

Serang is a city in Indonesia. It is the capital of Banten province and sits on the island of Java. The city is close to the coast of Banten Bay and near the large city of Jakarta.

Serang has a warm climate with rain all year long. Many people live there, and the number keeps growing. In 2023, about 735,651 people called Serang home. The city is an important place with interesting history, such as the site of Old Banten.

Serang is also known for its peaceful communities. Many people there follow Islam, and the city is sometimes called the "city of pious people." There are big places of worship, like the Ats-Tsauroh Great Mosque of Serang and the Al-Bantani Grand Mosque.

The city has good ways to travel. You can take a train from its station, driven by PT Kereta Api Indonesia. Roads connect Serang to other places, and the nearest big airport is Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta.
