Sustainable Development Goal 2
Sustainable Development Goal 2 is a big plan to make sure everyone in the world has enough good food to eat. It is one of 17 important goals made by the United Nations in 2015. This goal wants to help farms grow food in ways that are good for the Earth and make sure the food is safe and healthy for everyone.
Many people still donβt have enough to eat. Places like South Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, and Nigeria have a lot of people who are hungry. Not having enough food can make people sick and it can make it hard for children to grow properly.
Goal 2 has many parts to help reach its big dream. It wants to stop people from going hungry, make sure they get healthy food, help farms grow more food, and protect plants and animals that people use for food. It also wants to make rules about trading food fairer so everyone can get what they need.
The world needs to work together to make sure no one goes to bed hungry. Everyone can help by supporting good farming and sharing ideas about how to grow food better.
The goal is part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This plan has 17 big goals to help make the world better for everyone. Goal 2 is special because it focuses on ending hunger and making sure children grow up healthy.
Countries like China, Vietnam, Brazil, and Thailand have shown that it is possible to reduce hunger by improving farming and helping families. This gives hope that we can reach the goal of no hunger by 2030.
