The Hershey Company

The Hershey Company, often called Hershey, is a big American company that makes yummy treats. It is based in Hershey, Pennsylvania, a fun town with places like Hersheypark and Hershey’s Chocolate World. Hershey is one of the largest chocolate makers in the whole world!

Sweet Beginnings

The company was started by Milton S. Hershey in 1894. It was first called the Hershey Chocolate Company and began as part of his Lancaster Caramel Company. Today, the Hershey Trust Company owns a small part of the company but has most of the voting power.

Delicious Treats

Hershey makes many tasty things besides chocolate, like cookies, cakes, and milkshakes. They have factories all around the world. Hershey’s chocolate can be found in 60 countries! The company has three big distribution centers and is part of the World Cocoa Foundation.

Fun Places

Because of Hershey, we have fun places like the Hersheypark Stadium and the Giant Center. Even though the Hershey Company and the Hershey Creamery Company were both started in the same place and year, they are not connected. Visit Hershey’s Chocolate World to learn more about the history and enjoy some sweet treats!
