Welcome to Tring

Tring is a cozy market town in Hertfordshire, England. It sits in a pretty gap called the Chiltern Hills, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Tring is about 30 miles from Central London, making it a nice place for people who work in the city but want to live in a quiet town.

People have lived in Tring for a very long time. The town was mentioned in an old book called the Domesday Book. In 1315, Tring was given special permission to hold a market every Tuesday. Today, Tring is a peaceful place where many people visit for its lovely scenery and markets.

Tring is linked to London by many routes. There is an old Roman road named Akeman Street, the busy A41 road, the Grand Union Canal, and trains on the West Coast Main Line that take you to London Euston. These paths have helped Tring stay connected for hundreds of years.

The name Tring might come from an old language called Old English. It could mean a place where trees grow on a slope. The town has many green spaces and beautiful views, just like its name suggests.

Tring is a wonderful place to explore, with its mix of history, nature, and friendly markets. Whether you’re looking at old roads, enjoying a market day, or just taking in the views, Tring has something special for everyone.
