2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup
Adapted from Wikipedia · Adventurer experience
The 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the 18th edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, a big soccer competition for teams from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. It was hosted by Canada and the United States, with games starting on June 14, 2025.
The final match took place on July 6, 2025, at NRG Stadium in Houston. In that match, Mexico won for the tenth time, beating the United States 2–1.
Most of the games were held in the Western United States to make sure they did not clash with the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which was happening at the same time mostly on the East Coast. This helped teams and fans plan their schedules better.
Venues
CONCACAF announced the 14 host venues for the 2025 Gold Cup on September 25, 2024. These venues were a mix of soccer-specific stadiums mainly used by Major League Soccer teams and larger gridiron football stadiums. BC Place in Vancouver was the only venue outside of the United States. The venues were mostly in the Western United States to avoid conflicts with the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which was happening at the same time mostly on the East Coast. The tournament final will be held at NRG Stadium in Houston on October 30, 2024.

Teams
In February 2023, CONCACAF said the 2024–25 CONCACAF Nations League would decide which teams could play in the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup. All 41 teams of CONCACAF took part in the Nations League. The four winners of the quarterfinals in Nations League A and the four group winners of Nations League B qualified for the Gold Cup. In March 2025, a Gold Cup preliminary round was held, and seven more teams joined the main tournament. In total, 16 teams played in the main event.
Later, on December 19, 2024, CONCACAF invited Saudi Arabia to join as a guest team for the 2025 and 2027 tournaments. There were talks about making the 2025 Gold Cup bigger with 24 teams—16 from CONCACAF and 8 guests—but this plan did not happen. This would have helped teams like Mexico, Canada, and the United States since they will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
