Ski jumping at the Winter Olympics
Adapted from Wikipedia · Adventurer experience
Ski jumping has been part of every Winter Olympic Games since 1924. At first, athletes jumped from just one hill, and the hill’s height changed each year.
Later, two kinds of hills were used: a normal hill at 70 meters and a large hill at 80 meters.
In 1988, a team event was added, so athletes could compete as a group. By 1992, the hills were described by their K-point distances instead of exact lengths.
In 2014, women joined in for the first time, and Carina Vogt from Germany won the first gold medal. Ski jumping stays a fun and exciting part of the Winter Olympics.
