Gazzy Fabio Garcia, known as Lil Pump, is an American rapper who became very popular in the late 2010s. He started his career as part of the SoundCloud rap scene and quickly gained attention with his unique style and energetic personality. Lil Pump was born and grew up in Miami, Florida.
He got a lot of attention in 2017 with his hit song "Gucci Gang," which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100. This song helped him become well-known, and soon after, he released his first album, also called Lil Pump, with Warner Records. Even though some music critics did not like "Gucci Gang," the song became very popular and was certified quintuple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
In the years that followed, Lil Pump kept making music and had more successful songs like "I Love It" with Kanye West, "Esskeetit," and "Butterfly Doors." His second album, Harverd Dropout, came out in 2019 and reached number seven on the Billboard 200. Early life
Gazzy Fabio Garcia was born on August 17, 2000, in Miami, Florida. In a 2018 interview, he said his parents are from Colombia and divorced when he was six.
When Garcia was 13, his cousin introduced him to another rapper named Smokepurpp. They worked together often. Garcia had trouble in school and was expelled from many schools. He later joined an opportunity high school but was expelled in tenth grade for fighting and causing trouble.
Career
Career beginnings, rising popularity, and Lil Pump (2015–2017)
Lil Pump began his music career when another rapper asked him to rap over a track. He released his first song, "Lil Pump", on SoundCloud in 2016. This song and several others he released quickly became popular, helping him gain attention in the music world.
By 2017, his songs were very successful, especially "Gucci Gang," which became a big hit and reached a high spot on music charts. That same year, he released his first full album, also called Lil Pump.
Harverd Dropout (2018–2019)

In 2018, Lil Pump released more songs, including "Esskeetit" and "Drug Addicts." He also worked with famous musicians like Kanye West. However, he faced some criticism for using words that were not kind to some people. He later apologized and changed the song.
Later that year, he released his second album, Harverd Dropout, with many guest artists.
Subsequent ventures, No Name, and Lil Pump 2 (2020–present)
In 2020, Lil Pump said he might stop making music, but then changed his mind and kept creating songs. He released new albums called No Name and Lil Pump 2, but these did not become as popular as his earlier work.
Personal life
Lil Pump, whose real name is Gazzy Fabio Garcia, has shared that he finds reading difficult because he has dyslexia. During the COVID-19 pandemic in December 2020, he was not allowed to fly with JetBlue after he refused to wear a mask on a trip from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles. He announced on Instagram that his father, Fabio Garcia, passed away on April 8, 2022.
Politics
In October 2020, Lil Pump showed support for President Donald Trump in the 2020 United States presidential election, saying that Joe Biden’s tax plans worried him. He often wore a Trump campaign Make America Great Again hat and even spoke at a rally in Michigan, though Trump called him “Little Pimp” by mistake. Later, it was found out that Lil Pump was not actually registered to vote. He also removed an old tweet where he had said bad things about Trump.
Lil Pump kept supporting Trump in 2024. In August of that year, during Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, he said he would make a song against Kamala Harris at a Trump event, but then changed his mind and said he would make a song supporting Trump instead. He also said he would leave the country if Harris won the 2024 United States presidential election.
In June 2025, Lil Pump traveled to Russia, even while there was a big conflict there, and performed a concert in Moscow with rapper Smokepurpp.
Legal issues
Lil Pump, whose real name is Gazzy Fabio Garcia, had several run-ins with the law. In February 2018, he was arrested after a shooting at his home in San Fernando Valley. Police found a gun at the scene but no one was hurt.
Later that year, in August, he was arrested in Miami for driving without a license. He also faced other charges, including being detained in Denmark for having a substance and fined for it. In December 2018, he was arrested at a Miami airport after refusing a search of his luggage. In 2021, he owed a large amount in taxes and had financial issues with the government.
