Welcome to Australia!

Australia is a big, beautiful country in the southern part of the world. It is made up of the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania, and many smaller islands. Australia is the sixth-largest country and has many different landscapes, from dry deserts to green rainforests.

People and Culture

For thousands of years, Aboriginal Australians have lived in Australia. They have one of the oldest cultures in the world, with many different languages and traditions. Today, Australia is a mix of many cultures. Most people live in cities along the east coast, like Sydney and Melbourne. Australia is a constitutional monarchy and a parliamentary democracy.

Fun Facts

Australia is home to some very interesting animals, like kangaroos and koalas. The country is also known for its beautiful beaches and the famous Sydney Opera House. People in Australia enjoy many sports, such as cricket, soccer, and swimming. Australia has hosted the Summer Olympics twice and will host them again in Brisbane in 2032.
